Mature Technology Fabs
To stay competitive in business, mature fab companies must drive innovation in manufacturing efficiency, constantly improving cost and productivity, and extending the life cycle of equipment and fabs over many years and many technology generations. There are continuous cost, productivity, and sustainability pressures, including aging equipment with limited original equipment manufacturer support, as well as limited industry leverage and competitor insight.
Recognizing the crucial importance of member collaboration, ISMI’s Mature Technology Fabs Program seeks to coordinate and synergize members’ tool productivity efforts by promoting teamwork, sharing of common problems and best-known methods, and implementation of focused, tactical solutions to shared challenges.
The program's goals are designed to provide members with immediate return on investment (ROI) through a series of forums, workshops, and councils that are focused on benchmarking and shared learning for continuous productivity improvement of existing factories and equipment.
Membership
Participation in ISMI’s Mature Technology Fabs Program is open to all semiconductor manufacturers with fabs. Companies can join the program without being a full member of ISMI or SEMATECH.
