Angle brackets
Angle brackets (< >) are used as operating signs in mathematical equations. Use a space on each side of the operator.
Operating signs are abbreviations for verbs. The < symbol represents are (is) less than. The > symbol represents are (is) greater than. If using the sign within text, do not repeat the verb.
USE:
when k > 7, 0
NOT:
when k is > 7, 0
