Mani Janakiram

Mani Janakiram has been with Intel for 6+ years and has managed several strategic projects in factory modeling, capacity planning, process control, analytics and factory science research.

He has 18+ years of experience and has published 35+ papers in the area of statistical modeling, capacity modeling, data mining, factory operations research, and process control. One of his publications in Journal of Quality Control was awarded the "Brumbaugh Award" from ASQ for making the greatest contribution to the development of industrial applications of quality control.

Mani has been recognized as the Six Sigma Black Belt, he is an ASQ certified Quality Engineer and a SME certified Manufacturing Engineer. Mani chairs the Factory Operations Research Center (FORCe) and the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductor (ITRS) Factory Integration that sets long term roadmap. He serves on several research committees including Alliance for Manufacturing (AIM) of Stanford University, SEMATECH Industry Economic Modeling, NSF research panels and Factory Systems of Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC).

Mani mentors several engineers and students (MS/PhD) and has been awarded "Mahboob Khan Award" by SRC for outstanding mentoring. Mani holds PhD and M.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
