Joe Draina

Joe Draina was named the Associate Director of International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) in April 2005. He is currently on assignment from IBM.
Draina, an IBM Senior Engineering manager, previously managed Equipment Engineering at IBM in East Fishkill, NY, where he was responsible for 300 mm process equipment fabricator implementations, including ramp-up methodology, resolution management of significant process equipment issues, equipment productivity, reliability, and costs.
Prior to his 300 mm experience, Draina held many engineering management positions at IBM within a broad range of equipment technology areas. Those areas include etch, insulators, metals, lithography, metrology, chemical mechanical polish, wet bench clean, and more.
Draina holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University.
