The ISMI Test Service Provider Initiative
In today's highly integrated 300 mm fab, automation has become much more complex and critical to successful manufacturing. Today's unprecedented levels of complexity require semiconductor equipment suppliers to pre-qualify and deliver fully functional equipment that is ready to operate.
In response to this critical need, ISMI is licensing test service providers (TSPs) to perform the ISMI GEM 300 Test Protocol. The protocol is a method for testing conformance to industry standards and consensus common requirements. The protocol provides high integrity of execution to known content that is widely accepted and understood.
The TSP Initiative provides equipment suppliers with a reliable method of reducing extensive and costly factory floor testing of 300 mm tools. This means equipment suppliers can be confident there will be a professional service provider capable of meeting customer needs for automation conformance testing.
