Abstract:
This report gives an overview of the current global warming picture as it
relates to the semiconductor industry. Specifically, it addresses the
interrelationship of the greenhouse effect, global warming, and
perfluorocarbons; discusses global warming and climate modeling; and
refers to the relevant national and international environmental policies.
The report also outlines some of the emission reduction strategies being
considered by the semiconductor industry and presents a table of
abatement technologies by manufacturer.
