Abstract:  It is ISMI's policy that equipment is constructed in a
manner which is fire safe. One approach for achieving this
objective is to limit the amount of combustible sheet
plastic used in tool construction. The ISMI Combustible
Materials Test Report may be employed as an aid for
classifying the types and amount of combustible sheet
plastics used in tool construction.

Note: Sheet plastics Listed as Non-fire-propagating
(FMRC 4910 and UL 2360 Class 1 or 2) are acceptable
alternatives. UL 94 series test methods are not acceptable
for rating the flammability of sheet plastics used in the
construction of equipment located in clean rooms.
