ISMI’s ESH Technology Center Receives CleanTech Award for Green and Clean Technology Solutions
EuroAsia Semiconductor honors ISMI for setting industry direction
Austin, TX (19 October 2009) – The IC Industry Awards recently named ISMI’s ESH Technology Center as the recipient of its 2009 CleanTech Award for green and clean technology at SEMICON Europa in Dresden, Germany. The ESH Technology Center was recognized for its efforts to promote green and clean technology at an industry level and provide a neutral, cooperative framework for investigating and implementing environmental solutions.
“This award recognizes that we are not only developing and implementing sustainable, cost-effective manufacturing processes and procedures, but that we have also established a world-wide collaborative environment to collectively assess and tackle the challenges of sustainable semiconductor manufacturing,” said Ron Remke, ISMI’s ESH program manager and head of the Center. “We share a common commitment, and we believe this approach will enable semiconductor manufacturers to stay productive and profitable, while significantly reducing the environmental footprint of manufacturing operations.”
“We’re honored to recognize ISMI’s ESH Technology Center for changing the way the world thinks about energy and efficiency through its contributions to the cleantech space,” said David Ridsdale, Editor in Chief of EuroAsia Semiconductor. “EuroAsia Semiconductor is proud of the EuroAsia IC Industry Awards, and we feel it is important to acknowledge the technological achievements of the industry and the people who drive them with their technical expertise and customer-oriented perspectives.”
The IC Industry Awards are a recognized platform that allows the semiconductor industry to judge and make their voices heard about the people, products and practices serving this industry. Since 2005, the IC Industry Awards has been recognizing select individuals and companies in the microelectronics industry who have achieved success in a competitive global market.
ISMI’s ESH Technology Center is dedicated to sustaining green technology solutions that lead to reduced energy consumption, lower costs, and greater productivity in semiconductor manufacturing, and to providing data-driven research and best practices to solve the challenges of sustainable manufacturing.
